Start Your Family-Building Journey with GP-Fertility

Your LGBTQ+ Fertility Journey with GP-Fertility

Step 1: Personalized Consultation & Fertility Assessment

Your journey begins with a comprehensive consultation with a GP-Fertility specialist. During this initial appointment, your doctor will take the time to understand your goals, medical history, and personal circumstances.

A series of diagnostic tests may be recommended to assess your fertility and guide your treatment plan. These may include:

  • Ultrasound imaging
  • Hormone and blood testing
  • Semen analysis (if applicable)

Based on these insights, we develop a fully personalized fertility strategy, tailored to your unique needs and family-building goals.

With GP-Fertility, every plan is designed with precision, discretion, and a global perspective.

Step 2: Coordinated Third-Party Reproductive Care

Many LGBTQ+ individuals and couples require the support of third-party reproduction to build their families. This may include:

  • Egg donation
  • Sperm donation
  • Gestational surrogacy
  • Or a combination of these options

At GP-Fertility, we provide fully coordinated, end-to-end third-party reproductive services, connecting you with trusted donor programs, fertility specialists, and surrogacy partners across multiple jurisdictions.

Our team manages the medical, legal, and logistical complexities of the process—ensuring a seamless experience so you can focus on what matters most: building your family.

All third-party reproductive services are delivered in accordance with applicable legal and ethical regulations in each region.

Modern Fertility Options for Modern Families

Family-Building for Male Couples

Male couples typically require both an egg donor and a gestational surrogate to achieve parenthood. You may choose to work with:

  • A known egg donor (such as a friend or family member), or
  • An anonymous donor through a professional donor program

Our specialists will guide you through selecting the most suitable option, including whether to pursue a fresh or frozen donor cycle.

You will also decide whose sperm will be used for fertilization, and be matched with a gestational surrogate (also known as a gestational carrier). A surrogate is an individual who carries and delivers a pregnancy on behalf of intended parents. Most intended parents work with professional surrogacy agencies, which provide essential support in managing the medical, legal, and financial aspects of the journey.

Once your donor and surrogate are selected:

  • Eggs are retrieved from the donor
  • Fertilization is performed through IVF
  • Embryos are transferred to the surrogate’s uterus

Throughout the process, your GP-Fertility care team coordinates every step, ensuring a smooth and well-managed experience.

Family-Building for Female Couples

Female couples typically require a sperm donor to begin their fertility journey. You may choose:

  • A known donor
  • Or an anonymous donor through a licensed sperm bank

Our team will help you evaluate all available options to ensure the best fit for your family goals.

You will also decide:

  • Whose eggs will be used
  • Who will carry the pregnancy

Some couples choose reciprocal IVF (co-maternity), where:

  • One partner provides the eggs
  • The other partner carries the pregnancy

This allows both partners to be physically involved in the conception and gestation process.

Alternatively, one partner may both provide the egg and carry the pregnancy. Fertilization may be achieved through:

Your GP-Fertility specialists will guide you through every decision, ensuring clarity, confidence, and optimal outcomes.

Fertility Options for Transgender and Nonbinary Individuals

Transgender and nonbinary individuals and couples have access to a full range of fertility care options, including both assisted reproduction and fertility preservation.

Fertility preservation may involve:

  • Freezing sperm
  • Freezing eggs
  • Freezing embryos

This is often recommended prior to hormone therapy or gender-affirming medical treatments, helping preserve future family-building possibilities.

At GP-Fertility, we provide care in a respectful, inclusive, and confidential environment, ensuring that your identity, preferences, and long-term goals are fully supported.

Our team works closely with you to design a plan that aligns with both your medical needs and personal journey.
